U.S.S. Hood

A bit of a blend of styles here with this design. I've taken the design ethic from the new Excelsior II class (as seen in Star Trek Picard) and applied it to one of the Nilo Rodis Excelsior concepts that he designed for Star Trek III, with a few alterations of my own. I named the ship Hood after one of the oldest and luckiest Excelsior class ships ever seen in Star Trek. That vessel lasted for over a century and survived numerous conflicts, including the Dominon War.

I believe it was in a recent piece of Star Trek Picard concept art by Doug Drexler, where I first saw a starship with a glowing registry number As soon as I saw this, I thought that it made good sense, especially for a more modern starship.
